Key Responsibilities & Details

• · Assist Controller with cost analysis, preparation of month-end reporting (includes running reports, updating forecasts, cost analysis, etc.), and WIP schedule
• · Manage project job costs in Sage 300 and Premier Construction Software
• a) Work with Estimating and Contract Administration to establish estimates in job cost
• b) Update job costs monthly with Project Managers
• · Work with Project Managers to prepare/process/issue owner requisitions
• · Process/manage subcontractor requisitions for payment with Accounts Payable personnel and Project Managers (includes verifying amounts previously billed, checking currently billed against owner billings, verifying retention and extending amounts to check totals)
• · Process vendor invoices (includes checking against purchase order for quantity and unit prices, extension of invoice, verification of applicability of sales/use tax, running of various required Timberline reports)
• · Assist with processing of check runs (includes verification of requirements such as signed documents, waivers, etc.)
• · Respond to vendor/subcontractor inquiries
• · Filing/tracking of documents applicable to above tasks
• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
• Three (3) accounting experience, preferably in construction or project based industries
• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with general construction procedures and documents (i.e., AIA requisition forms, change orders forms, etc.)
• Ability to function in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
