Utility Warehouse Worker

Summary:
 Responsible for the safe and proper handling of materials in a timely manner. Keep production centers supplied with raw materials and transport finished product to other areas using material handling equipment.

Essential Duties

• Responsible for the daily upkeep /cleanliness of the equipment he/she may operate and the general work area.
• Perform daily assignments for Materials Operations personnel.
• Fulfills worksheets or tickets by reading production schedules, order forms and requisitions.
• Locates and gathers products to move and distribute to production workers, assembly line, or to shipping areas.
• Assembles, builds, wraps, sorts, and transports customer orders.
• Operates hand truck, cart, doilies, forklift, to transport items.
• Employee will occasionally set-up and operate production equipment.
• Perform work in a safe an efficient manner in compliance with company and OSHA rules and regulations.
• Performance of other duties and responsibilities as required by management.

Desired Skills and Experience: 

• Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.
• Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours per day for up to 5 days a week.
• Must have high sense of urgency
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Lift up to 49 pounds
• Flexibility to work mandatory overtime based on business needs
• Ability to work in a team environment

Education and Certifications:

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
