Medical Collections Specialist – Infectious Disease
Type: Temp-to-perm
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00AM – 4:30PM
Requirements:
- 2+ years of Medical Collections experience (or AR in medical setting)
- Experience with Medicare (MCR) and BCBS accounts is highly preferred but not mandatory
- Experience with EMR/EHR – office utilizes Intergy/Greenway
Responsibilities:
- Contact insurance representatives and patients via phone, written correspondence, or electronically to check claim status and obtain/provide information for processing assigned accounts
- Review and take action on rejected claims, lockbox correspondence, and ERA (Electronic Remittance Advice) denials or assigned accounts
- Perform collection activities on denied or non-paid claims including appeals, reconsiderations, claim corrections, insurance updates, and submitting adjustments for approval
- Ensure all collection practices follow appropriate guidelines and maintain accurate, detailed notes in the practice management system
- Review, respond to, and resolve questions from internal coworkers, patients, insurance companies, or other parties as needed
- Assist with special projects and perform additional duties as requested

You will be entitled to health insurance once employed for 60 days and you must work 30 hours per week, on average, per month to enroll and maintain health insurance through Complete Staffing Solutions.
