Patient Access Intake Representative
New Bedford, MA
Hours:
- 24 hours per week
- Day/Evening Shift:
- 7:00a – 3:30pm, 11:00a – 7:30p, 3:00p – 11:30p, 11:15p – 7:15a
- Weekend and Holiday rotation
- Orientation: 7/13, 7/27, 8/10, 8/24
Responsibilities:
- Manage the rapid end-to-end intake process, including pre-registration, patient registration, and insurance verification to ensure absolute accuracy of patient demographic and financial data
- Educate patients on their specific financial responsibilities and directly secure point-of-service (POS) collections within the Emergency Department
- Identify patients requiring specialized financial assistance and seamlessly route them to financial counseling services
- Maintain strict compliance with healthcare regulations, specifically executing mandatory Medicare documentation such as Important Message from Medicare (IM) and Medicare Outpatient Observation Notice (MOON) forms
- Coordinate sensitive ancillary Emergency Department duties, including the secure management of patient valuables and morgue coordination
- Partner closely with clinical staff and back-end revenue cycle teams to optimize patient flow, minimize wait times, and ensure billing efficiency
- Provide essential, high-visibility on-site coverage across public arrival desks and throughout a high-volume Emergency Department environment
Qualifications:
- Four years high school completion (or equivalent)
- Associate’s Degree preferred
- Healthcare experience (3 years+)
- Microsoft Office proficiency
Compensation:
- $20-28/hr

You will be entitled to health insurance once employed for 60 days and you must work 30 hours per week, on average, per month to enroll and maintain health insurance through Complete Staffing Solutions.
