Benefits Administrator
Temp Coverage: 6-8 weeks covering a leave of absence, possible extensions
Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm
Location: Bellingham, MA 
Pay: $37/hr

Resposnibilies:
Administering employee benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, flexible spending accounts (FSAs), health savings accounts (HSAs), and the 401(k) plan.
Processing enrollments and life event changes, including new hires, open enrollment, marriages, births, and terminations.
Answering employee questions about eligibility, coverage, claims, premiums, and retirement benefits.
Working with insurance carriers and third-party administrators to resolve benefit issues and ensure accurate enrollment and billing.
Maintaining employee records in HR and benefits systems while ensuring confidentiality and data accuracy.
Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, such as ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, and other applicable benefits laws.
Supporting open enrollment, including preparing communications, educational materials, and employee meetings.
Reconciling invoices and auditing benefits data to make sure employee deductions and vendor bills are accurate.
Preparing reports for HR leadership on benefits participation, costs, and trends.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of federal leave laws, including FMLA, ADA, and other related leave regulations.
  • Must have hands on knowledge of leave laws in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Illinois, and Maine.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Experience communicating with employees, managers, payroll, and benefits vendors regarding leave requests and return-to-work processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working with a third-party leave administrator, preferably New York Life.
  • Benefits Reconciliations.
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Previous leave administration experience is strongly preferred
