Maintenance Technician

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Property: 150-unit family apartment community

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at a 150-unit family apartment community in Chicopee. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for completing apartment turnovers, resident service requests, general maintenance, and maintaining the property’s overall appearance.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete repairs involving:
  • Appliances
  • Carpentry
  • Hardware and fixtures
  • Masonry
  • Painting
  • Basic electrical
  • Basic plumbing
  • Basic HVAC
• Complete resident service requests and maintenance work orders in a timely manner and according to company procedures.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in and ensure units meet company market-ready standards.
• Assist with apartment turnovers, including general cleaning and repairs.
• Maintain property grounds and curb appeal through landscaping, trash removal, and general upkeep.
• Respond to resident and site maintenance needs professionally and efficiently.
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotations for after-hours maintenance needs and emergencies.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, and/or carpentry.
• Basic computer and tablet skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to speak and understand basic English.

…Pay Statement and Pay Transparency Laws: rate of pay listed is on a per hour basis. You will be entitled to health insurance once employed for 60 days and you must work 30 hours per week, on average, per month to enroll and maintain health insurance through Complete Staffing Solutions.
