Fortinet Implementation Documentation Engineer

Location: North Attleborough, MA (some remote flexibility)
Schedule: 40 hours/week
Duration: 2-3 month project-1-3 year contract
Pay: $50-$60/hour

Responsibilities 

• Help deploy Fortinet firewalls and network security systems
• Assist with FortiGate setup, configuration, testing, and installation
• Document network configurations, firewall settings, VPNs, VLANs, and IP addresses
• Create network diagrams, installation guides, and troubleshooting documentation
• Track deployments, system changes, and project progress
• Perform pre-deployment and post-deployment testing
• Work with senior engineers and client IT teams
• Train client IT staff and assist with knowledge transfer
• Keep all project documentation accurate and up to date

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with network or security deployments
• Experience working with Fortinet/FortiGate products
• Understanding of networking basics such as TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and VPNs
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Experience creating network diagrams and technical documentation
• Ability to understand and document firewall and network configurations
• Good communication skills and ability to work with technical teams
• Able to work onsite in Massachusetts when needed

Preferred Certifications

• Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP)
• Fortinet NSE 4
• Cisco CCNA or similar networking certification
