Family Physician – Primary Care of All Ages (Addiction Medicine Focus)
Employment Type: Full-time, Exempt
Salary Range: $214,000-$240,000 (potential bonus)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, no weekends. Great work-life balance. On-call rotation.
SUMMARY
A health organization is seeking a Family Physician to provide primary care to patients of all ages, from newborns to adults, including patients with complex addiction and chronic care needs. Primarily outpatient, with opportunities to support community-based and inpatient services across nearby sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, including diagnosis and nonsurgical treatment of acute, chronic, and complex conditions
- Manage care for patients with a range of needs, including addiction, HIV, hepatitis, and other chronic illness
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients on prevention, diet, activity, and overall wellness
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Refer to specialists and coordinate care as appropriate
- Prescribe medication in accordance with state guidelines
- Participate in quality improvement, on-call rotation, and care across multiple settings
- Support mentoring of students and residents
- Maintain licensure, certifications, and CME requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- MD/DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
- Active MA license and DEA
- CPR certification
Experience:
- Open to physicians newly out of residency
Preferred:
- Addiction medicine interest or background
- Sexual health / HIV / STI experience
- Outpatient / ambulatory / FQHC / community health background
- EHR experience
