Recertification Specialist

Key Responsibilities & Details

 Pay: $22-25/hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8AM – 4:30PM
30-minute unpaid break

Requirements: 

  • 2+ years of Recert/Compliance experience in affordable housing
  • Must have: Multifamily and affordable housing experience
  • Needs to have one or the other: HUD or Tax Credit experience
  • Nice to have: Tax Credit Certification and/or COS
  • Experience with property management software, RealPage is ideal

Responsibilities:

  • Keep property waiting list current
  • Conduct interviews with applicants and determine their eligibility
  • Coordinate on-site data collection and process resident information
  • Schedule resident recertification interviews
  • Ensure accurate calculation of income, assets, and rent levels
  • Seek and obtain Compliance Department approval for new move-ins and selected recertifications
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure timely move-in/move-out of residents
  • Coordinate apartment inspections for recertifications
  • Maintain resident files in accordance with company and regulatory agency policies
  • Assist office staff with various tasks, including social media marketing
  • Perform other duties as assigned
