Recertification Specialist – Required affordable housing recert experience
Location: Roselle, NJ
Assignment: Temporary, approximately 1–2 months
Hours: Approximately 40 hrs/week for an experienced recertification specialist; PT may be considered if primarily assisting the Property Manager
Pay: $25/hr

Role
Seeking an experienced Recertification Specialist to qualify new residents and complete ongoing resident recertifications and lease renewals. Strong organization and attention to detail are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete resident recertifications, lease renewals, interviews, and eligibility determinations.
- Collect and review required documentation.
- Calculate income, assets, and resident rent.
- Utilize EIV and follow HUD/Section 8 requirements.
- Maintain waiting lists and resident files.
- Coordinate inspections and move-ins/move-outs.
- Communicate with Housing Authorities regarding RFTA, subsidy adjustments, and contracts.
- Maintain subsidy ledgers/corrections.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing, HUD, CHFA, LIHTC, and other applicable regulations.
- Assist with general office duties as needed.
