Registered Nurse – Urology / Uro-Oncology (Outpatient)

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 per year
Schedule: 35 hours /week (full time) Mon-Fri 9 am – 5 pm with 1 hour lunch

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Urology team. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN interested in expanding their clinical experience within a specialized outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and an interest in urology, oncology, or procedural nursing. Nurses with a variety of adult clinical backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care and clinical support to adult urology patients

• Perform telephone, electronic, and in-person triage

• Assess patient symptoms and coordinate appropriate follow-up care

• Assist with medication management, refills, and prior authorizations

• Provide patient education related to diagnoses, treatments, procedures, and medications

• Assist with catheter care, wound care, bladder scans, and other clinical interventions

• Prepare patients for office-based procedures and assist providers during procedures

• Review and communicate laboratory, imaging, and other diagnostic results

• Coordinate diagnostic testing and follow-up care with patients and providers

• Manage patient messages and electronic medical record documentation

• Assist with post-operative care and symptom management

• Support infection control and patient safety initiatives

• Collaborate with physicians and other members of the multidisciplinary care team

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care throughout the patient experience

• Assist with additional clinical responsibilities and cross-coverage as needed

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in New York State

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required

• Current BLS certification

• Adult clinical nursing experience preferred

• Urology, oncology, surgical, or procedural experience is a plus

• Strong communication, organization, and clinical assessment skills

• Experience working with electronic medical records
