Maintenance Technician
Type: Start as ~3-4 weeks, possible temp-to-perm
Location: East Orange, NJ 07017
Temp Pay: $20/hour
Perm Pay: $24-25/hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM, 1-hour lunch
No on-call during temp period, will be added to rotation once perm
Requirements:
- 3+ years of Residential Maintenance Technician experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical is required
- Comply with OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times
- Must have their own tools
Responsibilities:
- Respond to all maintenance service requests by tenants including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance
- Ensure service requests are responded to and resolved in an efficient and timely manner
- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues
- Must possess strong skills in carpentry, tiling, electrical, plumbing, and appliances
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks to all common areas and units
- Inspect grounds, buildings, and other community areas daily to ensure excellent curb appeal at all times
- Prepare the vacant units for occupancy
- Communicate and interact with staff and tenants in a courteous and professional manner at all times
- Work as part of a team and represent the community in a professional manner at all times

You will be entitled to health insurance once employed for 60 days and you must work 30 hours per week, on average, per month to enroll and maintain health insurance through Complete Staffing Solutions.
