Swing Cook

• Position: Cook
• Location: Boston, MA 
• Schedule: 40 hours/week; days and hours vary based on operational needs. 11am-7:30pm, 5 shifts 
• Pay: $21.40 depending on experience and skills.
• Work setting: 100% on-site; the position is considered essential during weather emergencies.

Main responsibilities
The cook is responsible for preparing and producing meals, including:

• Preparing breakfasts, lunches, and dinners
• Portioning and packaging food
• Preparing meals for shipment to different locations
• Setting up and serving meals
• Helping with catered events
• Working with food-service staff, students, and volunteers
• Helping plan food production
• Potentially directing kitchen associates, students, and drivers when a manager isn’t present. 

Requirements
Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 1-2 years of food-service experience, such as institutional cooking, catering, kitchen, or food-service operations
• Experience shipping meals in different quantities and varieties
• Professionalism, punctuality, flexibility, attention to safety, initiative, and teamwork
