Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Waterbury, CT
Schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Pay: $28.61 – $35.00 per hour
Job summary
A growing eyelet manufacturer in Waterbury, CT, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair production equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on manufacturing maintenance experience and can machine replacement parts, weld, and troubleshoot mechanical equipment.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain production equipment, auxiliary machinery, and related systems.
Disassemble equipment, diagnose mechanical issues, and complete repairs.
Make pneumatic and hydraulic connections as needed.
Assist with startup of new, modified, or repaired production equipment.
Perform general repairs to building systems and auxiliary equipment, including air, gas, and water systems.
Work with toolmakers to resolve equipment repair issues.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Prior experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment required; experience in an eyelet manufacturing facility preferred.
Machining experience, including the ability to fabricate parts using lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders.
Welding ability.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
