About the Role
The Director of Marketing will develop and execute an integrated, results-driven marketing strategy across multiple brands and locations. This leader will be responsible for increasing brand awareness, driving customer engagement and traffic, supporting revenue growth, and creating consistent experiences across digital, social, promotional, and physical channels.
The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and bring experience marketing consumer-facing brands, multi-location businesses, or similar organizations.
This position will partner closely with Operations, Finance, Sales/Business Development, senior leadership, and ownership to ensure marketing initiatives align with overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing Leadership

Develop and execute annual marketing strategies aligned with company growth and revenue objectives.

Create marketing plans focused on brand awareness, customer engagement, traffic, and sales.

Identify market trends, customer preferences, and competitive opportunities.

Develop differentiated strategies across multiple brands and locations while maintaining overall brand consistency.

Evaluate new marketing opportunities, partnerships, markets, and customer segments.
Brand Management & Content

Develop and maintain compelling brand identities and messaging across the organization.

Oversee brand storytelling, creative direction, photography, video, promotional materials, and content.

Ensure consistency across websites, social media, digital platforms, promotional materials, and customer-facing communications.

Develop seasonal campaigns, promotions, special events, and new brand or location launches.

Partner with operational teams to create marketing programs that support individual locations and brands.
Digital Marketing & Customer Engagement

Lead strategy across websites, social media, email, paid media, search, and other digital channels.

Oversee SEO, SEM, paid advertising, social media, retargeting, and customer acquisition initiatives.

Develop and manage email, CRM, loyalty, and customer database marketing programs.

Utilize customer and marketing data to improve engagement, retention, and repeat business.

Monitor campaign performance, conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and marketing ROI.

Use analytics and reporting to guide marketing decisions.
Revenue & Growth Marketing

Develop strategies designed to increase customer traffic, sales, engagement, and frequency.

Support marketing initiatives surrounding new locations, expansions, renovations, and brand launches.

Create promotions and campaigns around seasonal opportunities, special events, and other revenue-generating initiatives.

Develop strategies to increase customer spend and promote key products, services, and experiences.

Partner with Operations to ensure successful execution at the location level.
Events, Partnerships & Public Relations

Develop marketing strategies for special events and other customer-facing initiatives.

Build relationships with local businesses, community organizations, influencers, media outlets, and strategic partners.

Oversee public relations initiatives that generate positive brand exposure.

Manage influencer and content creator partnerships where appropriate.

Support new launches, major announcements, and company events.
Agency & Vendor Management

Manage external agencies, consultants, creative partners, media partners, and vendors.

Establish scopes of work, budgets, performance expectations, and measurable objectives.

Evaluate vendor performance and ensure marketing resources are utilized effectively.

Negotiate and manage marketing-related contracts and partnerships.
Leadership & Team Development

Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team.

Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Partner closely with operational leadership to execute marketing initiatives.

Present strategies, performance results, budgets, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Financial Management & Reporting

Develop and manage the marketing budget.

Allocate resources based on business priorities and expected ROI.

Track KPIs including sales growth, customer acquisition, engagement, campaign performance, and return on investment.

Provide regular reporting and recommendations to executive leadership.

Identify opportunities to improve marketing efficiency and maximize revenue impact.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.

5+ years of progressive marketing experience within a consumer-facing or multi-location organization.

Experience developing marketing strategies across multiple brands, locations, or business concepts strongly preferred.

Strong experience with digital marketing, social media, CRM, email marketing, paid media, and analytics.

Experience supporting new location openings, brand launches, expansions, or repositioning initiatives preferred.

Strong understanding of consumer marketing, customer acquisition, retention, and brand development.

Experience managing agencies, vendors, budgets, and external partners.

Strong analytical, communication, presentation, organizational, and project management skills.

Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.

Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Operations and senior leadership.
