Title: Laboratory Technician
Company: Specialty pharmaceutical laboratory in Branford that determines how long drug products last and why they degrade. We run accelerated and ICH stability programs, develop stability-indicating analytical methods, and conduct shelf-life and compatibility studies on both drug products and their packaging. Our lab is GMP-registered, FDA-inspected, and routinely audited by our clients. We also develop and license ASAPprime®, the leading software for predicting shelf life under accelerated conditions.
What you’ll do
- Run HPLC analyses on stability and project samples, including sequence setup, injection and data processing
- Perform routine instrument troubleshooting — pressure and leak issues, baseline noise, carryover, system suitability failures
- Prepare samples, standards and mobile phases
- Support accelerated and ICH stability studies, including scheduled pulls from controlled chambers
- Support packaging and container-closure shelf-life studies
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation in accordance with GMP requirements
- Assist with instrument maintenance, calibration and general lab operations
What we’re looking for
- Hands-on HPLC experience — operation and basic troubleshooting, not just sample prep
- Working knowledge of a chromatography data system (Empower, Chromeleon or OpenLab)
- Experience in a GMP or GLP environment, with strong documentation and data integrity habits
- BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related science, or equivalent hands-on laboratory experience
- Careful, methodical, and comfortable owning your own work
