Legal Billing Specialist – Manhattan, NY
A respected law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Billing Specialist to join its finance team in a hybrid Manhattan, NY position. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented billing professional who enjoys working with attorneys and legal support teams in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and process monthly client invoices and pre-bills for assigned attorneys.
- Review attorney edits and make billing adjustments, including discounts and approved write-downs.
- Ensure invoices follow client-specific billing guidelines, rates, and special billing arrangements.
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies and system-related issues.
- Respond to billing requests from attorneys and legal administrative staff.
- Prepare billing reports, invoice details, and other financial information as needed.
- Assist with monthly pre-billing and invoicing to ensure deadlines are met.
- Provide professional and responsive support to attorneys and internal staff regarding billing questions.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of legal billing experience, in a law firm environment.
- Experience Aderant or Elite is a required.
- Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
Schedule & Location
Hybrid 2 days a week in office – Manhattan, NY
Monday–Friday | 37.5 hours per week
