Universal Banker – Worcester, MA (Part-Time)
$21.00/hr | ~24 hrs/week
Schedule:

• Monday: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
• Thursday: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
• Friday: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
• Approximately 24 hours per week

Position Summary:
The Universal Banker assists members with everyday account transactions while also opening and servicing deposit accounts and consumer loan products. This is a hybrid teller/member service role that also supports mortgages, IRAs, and business products, with referrals to specialists as needed. The ideal candidate is service-minded, comfortable with consultative conversations, and accurate in a fast-paced branch environment.
What You’ll Do:

• Process member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments
• Open and service deposit accounts, IRAs, and business accounts
• Conduct consumer loan interviews, review credit reports, and close conforming consumer loans within guidelines
• Identify member needs and recommend products and services, referring to specialists when appropriate
• Assist members with mortgage applications as a registered Mortgage Loan Originator (NMLS)
• Balance cash drawer, vault, cash recycler, and ATM at end of day
• Perform BSA compliance duties and maintain required disclosures and documentation
• Act in a supervisory capacity when needed
• Travel to other branch locations as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Customer service and/or cash handling experience (retail, hospitality, call center, etc.)
• No prior banking experience required; credit union or bank experience is a major plus
• Ability to obtain and maintain federal NMLS registration
• Strong cash handling accuracy and sound decision-making in a fast-paced setting
• Comfortable cross-selling and interacting professionally in person, by phone, and electronically
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Word/Outlook
• Dependable, flexible, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality
