Staff / GL Accountant

Staff Accountant Job Duties

• Prepare and post journal entries, which may include accruals, reclassifications, and recurring entries.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Review general ledger activity for accuracy, proper account coding, and appropriate documentation.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Analyze account balances and investigate significant fluctuations or unusual transactions.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close and audit activities.
• Maintain organized and accurate accounting records in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Provide Accounts Payable support, including posting vendor invoices, reconciling vendor statements, processing payments and credit card coding.
• Provide Accounts Receivable support, including credit card payment and RMA processing, collection activities and answering AR related inquiries.
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in accounting within manufacturing, distribution or similar industry experience, cost/inventory experience preferred
• Working knowledge of all accounting functions and extensive experience with accounting software.
• Experience with cost accounting, inventory management, month-end close and financial reporting
• ERP Experience – Infor Syteline a plus
• Manufacturing/Distribution experience in a global, multi-currency environment preferred
• Ability to legally work in the U.S. The company doesn’t sponsor work visas.
