Staff Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with NetSuite, full-cycle accounting, and a strong preference for manufacturing industry experience, including cost accounting and inventory management.

This individual will play an important role in the month-end close process, financial reporting, accounts payable, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial data in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, bank accounts, and other general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transaction processing.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures.
• Utilize NetSuite for general ledger activities, financial reporting, reconciliations, and other accounting functions.
• Support inventory accounting, cost analysis, and inventory reconciliations, particularly within a manufacturing environment.
• Assist with variance analysis, cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis, and inventory valuation as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and increase operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and support business operations.
• Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite required.
• Experience managing full-cycle accounting responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with cost accounting, inventory accounting, and inventory reconciliations preferred.
• Familiarity with standard costing, bills of materials (BOMs), work-in-process (WIP), and cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis is a plus.
• Experience with Bill.com for accounts payable and invoice processing is highly desirable.
• Experience supporting audits, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives is a plus.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional who combines strong general accounting fundamentals with practical ERP experience. They are comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities, and partnering with internal stakeholders to maintain accurate financial records. Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly with inventory and cost accounting, will be a significant advantage.
