Electronic Assembler
Location: Ellington, CT
Starting Pay: $24.00 per hour
Schedule: 7:00am - 3:30pm
Position Summary
We're seeking a detail-oriented Electronic Assembler to calibrate electronic sensors and assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs). This hands-on position combines sensor testing and calibration with soldering components onto relatively large circuit boards. Previous soldering experience is required.
Responsibilities
• Perform calibration and testing of electronic sensors according to established procedures.
• Set up sensors in test fixtures and connect them to appropriate testing equipment.
• Check sensor output and performance against established specifications.
• Make adjustments as directed by calibration procedures.
• Assemble PCB boards by positioning and soldering electronic components.
• Follow assembly instructions to ensure components are installed correctly.
• Accurately record test readings, calibration results, and product information.
• Identify products that do not meet specifications and communicate issues to the appropriate supervisor or technical staff.
• Handle electronic components carefully and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications
• Previous hands-on soldering experience required.
• Experience in electronics assembly, PCB assembly, electronic testing, or sensor calibration preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed assembly instructions and testing procedures.
• Comfortable working with electronic components, soldering equipment, and basic hand tools.
• Basic computer skills and ability to interpret and document numerical readings.
• Strong attention to detail, consistency, and dependability.
• Familiarity with electrical test equipment, such as multimeters, is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
